it was the new year when i told myself it's time to break out of the shell and start doing things i don't normally do.

doing handstands without hands, spinning on teacups and walking around topless is definitely not what i do often x)

thus, we successfully managed to plan an outing there even tho there were numerous problems like *ahemboonandsineyeeahem*

at last after a lot of persuasion they gave in and decided to give the badly over-priced water theme park a chance.

and see their stupidly happy faces =D

the first ride was this pirate ship and suddenly bigD (a very, very ,very buff big dude who looks like he can take on an army... of ants xD ) suddenly said he wanted to back out from the ride.

in my mind i was curious. because i had sat this ride back when i went to hongkong and it was alright- you know just ups and downs.

just that i didn't know my head would be down and my butt is up. damn the 360 degrees turn!

this ride is crazy and to quote boonsiew; "i saw my life flash before me."

hahahaha!

then they insisted they want to walk some bridge thing that they claimed was not shaky.

i was scared shitless when i walked on it because it was really windy that day and the bridge looked like it was rotting and about to collapse. =/

why do they have to use wood to make such a long bridge? never heard of semen cement?

then after the bridge was probably the most horrifying ride of the day...

Day 3.

3rd and the last day already? oh my.. days do pass by quickly. well the 3rd day was uneventful, other than packing, sitting and waiting. =D

woke up early to have char kuey teoh. apparently you need to be early to get the good food in penang (according to our semi-tour guide hon leong).

seriously, i have something against prawns, so yeah. the char kuey teoh@jalan dato keramat itself is nothing special (sorry!) maybe the penangites like it because of the humongous prawns. =/

hey guys! i'm back from penang! penang was a blast even though the lack of the obvious fun-inducing liquid. (alcohol)

*grins*

woke up at around 8 ish and got a phone call demanding where the heck i was from reen. LOL. i told them i'll be at the bus station at 9 the night before. i told them i was coming when i was actually making my hair.

i would miss the bus rather than having a bad hair =D

perfect hair.

reached the bus stop in the evening to be greeted by the happy boonsiew!

hehe.

so we checked into the hotel shortly and thanks to honleong's cousin, we got ourselves a car to navigate around the dangerous roads of penang.

so we got ourselves an avanza and we went to ayer hitam to fill the hungry hungry tummy with *ugh* asam laksa. x)

since i am not a fan of asam laksa, i had prawn mee instead =D

the portion was small, but it was alright considering the measly amount we paid for it.

(in kl, prawn noodle can easily go up to RM5 while we paid RM2.70 for the prawn noodle and asam laksa)

then, nobody was full, but boonsiew promised it was only the start of our fuking eating trip. we walked over to a confectionery shop.

but that was a burnt fish with some sauce. =/

spent my christmas eve with the dudes. it was jam packed with fun, crap, foul languages, more crap, and liqour <3

so i drove to james's house and reached there almost 9 but the party started at 6. >.<"

As you can see, there is key, plain text, cipher text and html code in that page.

KEY- acts as your password to decrypt the post.

PLAIN TEXT- is where you type whatever you want to encrypt.

2) paste the code below before the </head> tag in the html code of your webpage:

how to enhance WiFi signal

saw this from youtube about how you can increase your WiFi strength.

the objective here is to create a parabolic reflector. click here for more information on what a parabolic reflector might be.

a Step by step picture guide:

1) get an aluminium foil

length is around a subway sandwhich.

not the 6 inches one x)

2) fold the aluminium foil into half

now it's 6 inches long xD

3) fold all four of the sides as illustrated

4) curve it with something long, thick and cylindrical.

5) put in the general direction of the router.

personally, my WiFi signal is near perfect (4 out of 5 bars) but when i used the reflector, it was perfect.

okay, this happened a few days back, but i was away "studying", so i had no time to post it up.

went to times square to watch 2012 with hazel, yb, hs and cf.

the movie was alright! pretty touching scenes *watery eyes* and some really awesome scenes like how a tsunami eaTEN people x)

after movie, yb joined and initially decided to go to pasar malam for dinner. unfortunately, it was packed like louis vuitton giving out free merchandises. ~.~

thus, went to pandan jaya to have dinner. *unfortunately i took the wrong way~*

changes. many are afraid. fear of the unknown creeps and conquers the heart of many. fear spreads like a plague, intoxicating people with mindless thoughts and what-ifs. it manipulates people, constantly giving out waves of unrest into the innocent and gullible mind of people.

so, take one moment of silence and start reflecting the changes you have been through this year, be it good or bad.

however, changes might not necessarily be all that unpleasant. x)
here are the few most significant changes that happened to me recently:

i remember back then i used to curse a lot. and i must admit, it is hard to abstain from it, but i have it under control now. nowadays, i only use the few most common curse words.

everyone should be cracking their books now in preparation for the upcoming...

...examination.

it certainly gives me the creeps when i see how there is only one more class before the end of the semester and the start of our finals.

throughout this semester, there are so many things that i would certainly miss. all the good and bad times, i hope all of you guys would revisit them in your memories or from my blog once in a while :P

1) langkawi trip

langkawi was certainly awesome and it's thanks to all of you who joined =D

this trip was before the new semester started and boy, did we have fun!

2) food outings

remember how we went to ampang just to have korean food? all of you people drove so far just to have an awesome dinner. =D

then, there was also many other food outings, like the bak kut teh in klang, alexis and the korean food in 1u after our results day.

3) prima selayang

it was damn unfortunate for us because we had to sit in a non air conditioned bus which sucked like hell but then there's also all of you who sat through it with me. =) ish i hate prima selayang xDDD

4) birthdays

this semester, many more boys/girls turned into adults =) it was truly an amazing sight seeing how this small kids grow up and the responsibility of the future is on their hands. *sob*

this week was one hell of a wet and dry week. wet, because it's raining cats and dogs probably even when you are reading this, dry, because the lecture hall is just too damn boring.

thus, us kids sneaked out of the lecture hall and had some fun to cure the boredom!

we were just chilling when it was a dunno-who's-idea to tie up the guys' hair.

it all started because our lecturer commented that pink is gay. i told him "youcomesuckmaballs" when i realized it was indeed a very gay statement x)

we decided to fight poison with poison by tying up our hair and entering class with it tied xD

tell me the truth how many of you feel a little freaked out after seeing the poster of this latest movie? the world ending when you just turned 21 (ASSuming you are born in 1991 like most of my friends) is just not fair! you just got the "key of freedom" and boom, you are blown into particles.

now that's an appropriate time to say the F word. eff!

but there's been a lot of contradiction being circulated in the world wide web about the end of the world/ apocalypse/ big bang.

wait... big bang?

and there's this top 10 reason why the world won't end in 2012 even though the Mayan calendar ends at 2012...

1. Changes in the Sun’s magnetic field will lead to powerful flares.

So what else is new under the sun? The sun goes though a well-documented 11-year sunspot cycle that is driven by its magnetic field entangling, reforming and flipping polarity. Yes, the peak of the next cycle is in 2012 (or 2013), and some predictions suggest it might be 30 to 50 percent stronger than the last peak.

But experts say it will certainly not be the biggest peak ever recorded.

The bottom line is that no dragon’s breath of flame will stretch across 100 million miles of space and blowtorch Earth. The largest solar flare recorded to date, on Nov. 4, 2003, spewed several billions of tons of plasma in Earth’s direction. The flare’s X-ray radiation that impacted our protective atmosphere had the equivalent radiation of 5,000 suns.

We’re still here.

2. The Earth’s magnetic field will reverse.

Don’t hold you breath. The last field reversal happened nearly 800,000 years ago. Fred Flintstone and our other ancestor cavemen survived. Geological evidence shows that the field has reversed its orientation tens of thousands of times over Earth history. Yet there is no definitive evidence that a magnetic field reversal has ever caused any mass extinction due to increased cosmic ray influx.

3. The Earth’s rotation axis will tip.

This isn’t nearly as easy as tipping cows. Unlike Mars, which does go though wide excursions in it axial tilt, Earth’s tilt is kept steady by the gravitational influence of the moon. An object the size of Mars would have to hit Earth to transfer enough momentum to knock us out of kilter. But Mars-sized protoplanets were kicked into interstellar space over 4 billion years ago. The solar system doesn’t make “planets-gone-wild” anymore.

4. A grand alignment of Jupiter and Saturn will gravitationally perturb Earth.

For the past several decades there have been doomsday claims that the combined gravity from grand planetary alignments will cause geologic and meteorological upheavals on Earth.

None are scheduled for 2012.

In 1962 an extremely rare grand conjunction of the classical naked-eye planets drove astrologers crazy. The conjunction happened on Feb. 4-5 and was accompanied by a solar eclipse! The most infamous grand conjunction was in 1982 and popularized in a book called “The Jupiter Effect,” which predicted earthquakes and massive tides. Life went on as usual both years. The moon has a vastly greater gravitational influence on Earth than Jupiter. It’s called location, location, location! At a whopping distance of 400 million miles from Earth, Jupiter’s tug is pretty wimpy.

5. The Sun will align with the galactic equator on the winter solstice.

So what? These are simply coordinates in the sky. It has no physical reality any more than the intersection of Broadway and 7th Avenue at Times Square influences the geology of Manhattan Island. This is greatly confused with the fact that the sun’s position actually oscillates up and down as it orbits the galaxy, like a horse on a carousel.

We pass through the galactic plane every 35 to 40 million years. It’s possible that an increased number of comets might be hurled towards the Earth because of gravitational interaction with the densest parts of our galaxy during this passage. But we are talking about the consequences spanning many thousands of years, not crashing down on our heads in any one specific year.

6. The black hole in the galactic center will affect us.

The Milky Way’s black hole has no influence on the galactic disk. The black hole is three million solar masses. The Milky Way is several trillion solar masses when we add the tug of dark matter. Any gravitational influence of the black hole over the galaxy would be like the tail wagging the dog. The Milky Way’s collision with the Andromeda galaxy will dump gas into the black hole and it will blaze as a quasar. But that’s several billion years away.

7. An asteroid will smash into Earth.

A threatening near-Earth asteroid that’s gotten the most press is the 900-foot wide Apophis. But its chances of collision have been downgraded to 1 in 250,000 at its next close approach in 2029. In theory, an uncharted asteroid or comet could come out of the blue tomorrow. But if we don’t know about it today, the Mayans certainly didn’t know about it 1,200 years ago. Earth-killer impacts are tens of millions of years apart. So there’s no reason to be a doomsday clock-watcher.

*besides if an asteroid is going to make Earth boom boom pow, i think somebody would shoot a missile and blow the asteroid into small tiny bits like little jelly beans from the sky*

8. The rogue planet Nibiru will swing by Earth.

There isn’t such a planet any more than the planet Naboo from the Star Wars trilogy is real. Purported Internet pictures of the interloper are photographic lens flares or hoaxes. Don’t believe every dot you see photographed in the sky. XD

9. Supernovae or hypernovae will irradiate Earth.

There are no stars that are so close to Earth that radiation from their supernova demise would seriously affect us. The nearest candidate, the red giant Betelgeuse, is predicted to explode in the next 1,000 years. The monster star EtaCarinae is also on a short fuse. Neither doomed star has a spin axis precisely aimed at Earth, so we don’t have to worry about being fried by a narrow beam of gamma rays ejected from the core’s implosion. In fact the kinds of stars that shoot out these Death Star beams are uncommon in the Milky Way. Earth has a one percent chance of getting zapped over 10 billion years. Scratch gamma ray bursts off of your homeowner’s insurance policy.

10. A cloud of negative energy engulfs the solar system.

Wow! A dark cloud with a bad attitude! This sound suspiciously like a Star Trek episode. Dark energy is all around us already, but it is not packaged into clouds. The same goes for dark matter.

so i'm going to talk about how sometimes you do get things that were in your wish list and that is just feels awesome.

on saturday, met up with boonsiew n the rest before moving on to big D's place. in there we had lunch, some kickass muruku and finally some kickass fun before we left.

and by kickass i mean kickASS.

we had:

holy shit! marvel VS capcom. omg the must have game for kids below 12...

except none of us was really below 12.

did not really take much pictures as we were all busy whacking each in the game xD

ended the short trip to big D's house with a groupie.

then at night it was shinee's birthday. supposedly to have our meal at ampang waterfront. but thanks to many critics about how shitty the food there is, we decided to go to someplace else...

the problem is we have no idea where the someplace should be. ~.~

so we ended up in lookout point at gasoline. haha it was really nice to be able to speed all the way uphill (and down) but we didn't really speed lah. that's because i'm a very careful driver =)

so basically the photos are of shit quality and it means i need a DSLR but i can't afford it with my immensely puny amount of allowance. sigh.
